W26 - Strengthening Our Support System

Since we are about a month into the W26 semester, now’s the perfect time to reflect on our growth as an organization and set more goals for the future.

This semester, our team is made of up 21 dedicated supporters, including our 12 new supporters that have graduated our trainee program last semester, all of which bring their own wealth of experience and mentorship to our organization. In total, our supporters cover over 55 total hours of shifts (including weekends and late evenings), ensuring that every user has the opportunity to be heard quickly and safely. This stable foundation provides not only consistent quality of responses to text-ins, but also the resources for new trainees looking to one day become a supporter too.

To better serve our student body, we hope to continue with our marketing and outreach to expand growth of the hEARt Line and solidify it as a well-established resource on campus that every student knows they can use when in a time of need. Here is to a semester of growth, resilience, and meaningful conversation!
